Rick Franklin former Ultimate Fighting Champion
When we talk about the tremendous fighters in mixed martial arts, certainly we will speak about Rich Franklin also. He is one of the former Ultimate Fighter Champion and now days associated with associated with and trained with Meat Truck Inc. and currently trains at facilities run by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Jorge Gurgel, (New Generation Martial Arts); Neal Rowe, a Muay Thai instructor (Sacan Martial Arts); and Rob Radford, a boxing instructor (Boxing 4 Fitness). After loosing his title he started training under Matt “The Wizard” Hume.
When we talk about the victories by Rick Franklin regarding mixed martial arts those are countless. He started his career with mixed martial arts at 4-0. He defeated Evan Tanner to win the Ultimate Fighting Championship in June, 2005. He defeated Nate Quarry in the first round after knock outing him in the first round. He again defeated David Loiseau after the five rounds even his left hand was broken in the second round. But he lost his title in 2006 when he was defeated by Anderson Silva in the first round in October, 2006. It’s a huge list of fighters who have been defeated by Rick Franklin like Jason MacDonald, Travis Lutter, Matt Hamill, and Chuck Liddell. Franklin is considered as a supreme mixed martial art fighter among the lovers of mixed martial arts.
