Mixed Martial Arts were discovered in 1993. It was UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) who played a critical role in promoting the techniques used in mixed martial arts which is also given the name of MMA.
There were no safety regulations in the beginning of Mixed Martial Arts and all of the fighters from different traditions need to enter into the same ring. But with the passage of time different rules are set for the fighters in the ring. It’s the responsibility of UFC to conduct the tournaments for mixed martial arts or MMA.
If you look into the history we can find the mixed martial art in 648 B.C in Greece. At that time it was known as Pankration. Pankration was a no-barred fighting was also the part of Olympic Games at that time. These fights attain the lot of attention for the lovers of Olympic Games and inspired the later Etruscan and Roman Pancratium fighting tournaments.
These fights went underground after the fall of Rome in the West but in the East these fights were still available for the public. Later in East it was Bruce Lee the famous martial art fighter who invented new techniques in mixed martial arts. Now most of the mixed martial arts fighters are using the techniques by Bruce Lee.
