Low rise jeans
A common style of jeans is low rise jeans. It is worn by both men & women but mainly popular to women. The “rise” of any pant is determined by the distance between the crotch and the waist. Low rise means the distance between waist & crotch is small. Low-rise jeans may be worn to display more skin at the waist, torso, and hips. It is a new style compared with others. It was first introduced at the middle of 90’s. The fashion entered in America at 2001. It is said that pop star “Britney spears” has made it more popular. At present low rise jeans are manufactured in many styles. Though skinny are most popular, they also exist in loose, baggy, flare and destroyed style. Due to the popularity of low-rise jeans, manufacturers have also begun making low-rise styles of other kinds of pants. The style has faced some obstacle also. In a medical experiment it has proved that low rise skinny jeans put pressure on a sensory nerve of thigh, which causes pain & other physical problems. But it is not hampering its popularity much.
